Dr. Patrick Lynch
Dr. Lynch is the founder and Principal GP of Riverside Medical Centre, having established the practice in 1995. For more than 30 years, he has provided trusted medical care to the people of Irishtown, Clonmel, and the wider South Tipperary community. Under his leadership, Riverside Medical Centre has grown into a thriving, multidisciplinary practice while maintaining its commitment to personal, patient-centred care.
A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Dr. Lynch completed his General Practice training in the United Kingdom before returning home to South Tipperary to establish Riverside Medical Centre. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to the core principles of general practice: building lasting relationships with patients, delivering evidence-based holistic care, and supporting families through every stage of life.
Dr. Lynch has particular interests in men's health, minor surgery, musculoskeletal medicine, and joint injections. He has also been actively involved in the local sporting community, serving for many years as team doctor to Commercials GAA Club.
As both a clinician and practice leader, Dr. Lynch takes great pride in knowing his patients personally and providing continuity of care across generations of families. His dedication to the local community has been at the heart of Riverside Medical Centre since its foundation.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Lynch enjoys travelling, reading, speaking French, and spending time cycling and exploring the outdoors. A devoted family man, he particularly enjoys spending time with his children and grandson.
